    Good morning, I get the same error. The test application "NearbyStore" has the same error.

    Please try this solution 

    in application/config/config.php change 

    $config[‘permitted_uri_chars’] = ‘a-z 0-9~%.:_\\-‘;

    to 

    $config['permitted_uri_chars'] = '';



    Note : make sure to backup your file before making the update
